Job Overview
The Reliability Engineer for Mechanical Systems at Stream Data Centers will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of mechanical systems used within our data center facilities. This position encompasses evaluating existing mechanical systems, implementing effective reliability strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to analyze failures, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals for operational excellence and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct reliability assessments and evaluations for various mechanical systems within data centers.
- Implement and manage reliability engineering processes to improve system performance and decrease unplanned downtimes.
- Analyze failure data to identify trends and develop predictive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with design and operational teams to create maintenance plans and reliability improvement programs.
- Prepare and present reports on reliability metrics, system performance, and engineering findings to senior management.
- Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and develop recommendations for corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to mechanical systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in reliability engineering, particularly in mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency with analytical tools and software for reliability analysis from platforms like MATLAB, R, or Python.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and tools such as vibration analysis and thermography.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting analyses and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technologies & Tools
The Reliability Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like Maximo or SAP, reliability modeling software, and data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, and statistical analysis software. Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and related monitoring technologies will also be crucial in assessing system performance and reliability.
