Ingenta is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role entails ensuring the stability, security, and integrity of in-house and cloud-based systems, while also providing expert guidance and support for our technical teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing system and network configurations, troubleshooting issues, and proactively enhancing our systems to meet the evolving demands of our business.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s IT systems and servers, ensuring optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and upgrade server hardware and software in line with best practices.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and user access controls.
• Collaborate with technical teams in a project capacity to develop system designs and implement new solutions.
• Provide support for end users regarding system functionalities and access issues.
• Document systems architecture and procedures for operational transparency.
• Stay current with industry trends and make recommendations for system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
• Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
