Job Overview

The Cloud Engineer at New York Technology Partners will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services. This individual will work closely with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure a reliable and scalable cloud environment that supports business objectives. The role includes selecting cloud services, ensuring data security, optimizing cloud costs, and facilitating cloud adoption across the organization.



Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions to meet the organization's needs.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure using best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop strategies for cloud services adoption.
  • Monitor cloud system performance and optimize costs regularly.
  • Implement and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in cloud technologies and recommend improvements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and tools.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or Go.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

The Cloud Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools designed to facilitate efficient cloud management, including but not limited to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog is also essential to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud solutions.
