Job Description

Overview

The Physical Therapist at American Specialty Health will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. This role requires collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality therapeutic services, ensuring optimal patient care and rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist will also educate patients and their families about treatment plans and wellness strategies while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with relevant healthcare standards.



Job Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that optimize patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, care techniques, and preventative measures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation regarding patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in physical therapy.


Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice physical therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular anatomy and treatment techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and lead patient outcomes.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
