Job Overview

The Refrigeration Engineer in the Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) department at Amazon will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of refrigeration systems across various facilities. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining refrigeration systems to optimize performance while minimizing downtime. The Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and will be instrumental in developing preventive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability and performance.



Job Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain refrigeration systems to meet operational needs effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of refrigeration equipment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and strategies to maximize system efficiency.

  • Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with building management systems and refrigeration control systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to refrigeration equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams.
  • Professional certifications in refrigeration or HVAC systems are a plus.
