Overview

The Vice President of Talent, Learning & Leadership at Samsara is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the company's talent management, learning programs, and leadership development initiatives. This executive will work closely with senior management to create a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that Samsara attracts, retains, and develops top talent in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and performance management while leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive outcomes.



Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent management strategy to enhance employee engagement and performance across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain a robust leadership development program that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and readiness for future leadership roles.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs, skill gaps, and learning opportunities to develop tailored programs.
  • Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of learning and talent programs and make informed decisions based on findings.
  • Create initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the organization.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of an employee onboarding and orientation process that promotes a strong company culture and accelerates time-to-productivity.
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals in the delivery of talent and learning services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations to minimize risk while fostering a positive workplace environment.


Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing successful talent and learning strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong understanding of leadership principles, coaching methodologies, and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leveraging HR technologies and analytics to drive decision-making and enhance employee experience.
